Examples of Architectural Models
An architectural scale model can be advantageous in a number of situations.
For an organization it could be a model for display, perhaps for visitor
orientation.
Where the building itself is an object of study, models can play an
important role, allowing insight not easily afforded by traditional
drawings.
The structure can be reproduced as a card model kit, e.g. a school,
suitable for students to use in class and / or to sell in kit form to
help raise funds.
The 3D CAD file used to create the model can itself be a useful tool
and a free CAD viewer is available for those who do not posses the relevant
software.

Created from an architect's plan for renovation or extension, a scale
model can really help evaluate new building work.
When used on-site, an authentic model helps avoid misunderstandings
amongst a construction team, since all instructions can be given with
reference to a 3 dimensional representation of the finished structure,
and when the house is complete it can even be used to plan the garden!
A scale model can also provide a unique bird's eye view of the home
that you cherish and, when the time comes, it can also assist in marketing
your property.

Armada uses either hard copy drawings or, more often, CAD files to create
its models. CAD files are particularly useful as they can usually be emailed
directly and imported straight into Armada's modelling software.
