WANTED - Experienced card model builder to test-construct a prototype, prior to release of the model kit.

De Zeven Provinciën - white card prototype

Card model kit production involves: initial design work, construction of a white card prototype, textured model kit production and finally test-building. We have a textured model kit that is just about ready to publish but unfortunately no time to assemble it. If you would like to construct a prototype and provide us with some feed-back please send an email via the link on our contact-us page.

De Zeven Provinciën class frigates are advanced air defence and command frigates (LCF) in service with the Koninklijke Marine (Royal Netherlands Navy). The De Zeven Provinciën frigate has an appealing layout, while its overall shape is greatly influenced by the technology of 'stealth', that is, making a vehicle less visible to a variety of modern sensors. The design of the LCF emphasizes reduction of infrared, acoustic, electrical, magnetic and radar cross-section, signatures. The vessel is well equipped with missile systems, torpedoes, sensor systems, countermeasures, a combat data system and a single NH90 helicopter.

De Zeven Provinciën - assembly sequence

There are four ships of this class currently in service. The first , De Zeven Provincien (F802) was commissioned in April 2002. Tromp (F803) was commissioned in March 2003, De Ruyter (F804) in April 2004 and Evertsen (F805) in June 2005. The names all pertain to 17th century admirals or their fighting ships, famous for resounding successes in battle – usually at the expense of the dastardly British!
