Armada Model Designs is delighted to showcase the excellent card model kits designed and published by Tony Brandon of Impact Models.
IMPACT MODELS designs and produces a wide range of card model building construction kits. All models are available via mail order. A large proportion of these are produced in "OO" gauge and "N" gauge, and are ideal for enhancing the scenery of model railway layouts.
"Old Town" is a range of Victorian houses, shops, and other urban street architecture. The models are available in both OO and N Gauge, making them ideal for adding variety to model railway layouts.
The name "Old Town" is taken from a district in Stratford-upon-Avon. The area comprises several streets of terraced houses built in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Ironically, it is not the oldest part of town at all, but would have been the newest part of town when it was built! While the houses in this area inspired the "Old Town" range, the houses are typical of the type found in many English towns.
"Townscape" is a range of town centre shops, town hall, banks, pubs, etc. (many in half-relief). Townscape is an entirely new range using digitally produced images to provide finely detailed and realistic looking buildings.
The range includes the type of buildings to be found in a typical English market town and encompasses a variety of historical styles from the black and white timbered houses of the 17th century, to the Georgian and the Victorian architecture of the town street scene.
Being based at Stratford-upon-Avon with its association with Shakespeare, IMPACT MODELS' creations naturally include those linked to the bard himself - like this wonderful representation of Anne Hathaway's cottage.
