Snickersnee
SNICKERSNEE is a compact sports slope soarer that is inexpensive to build. It is an exciting intermediate model that can operate in a range of wind speeds. Snickersnee requires 2 mini servos to operate ailerons and elevator. The prototype model (pictured above) also works well with a third servo controlling rudder.

In 2010 a "FlyCamOne" video camera was mounted to the Snickersnee prototype and it was flown alongside a "Dolphin" slope-soarer over coastal dunes in North West England.
Snickersnee works well with the FlyCamOne installed and because it's a glider there's no engine-induced vibration to worry about. The linked aileron / rudder modification ensures that turns are well coordinated - an essential quality for a good camera platform.
Last but not least, marram grass is excellent for crash energy absorption. Snickersnee has not received so much as a scratch during its dune-flying sorties.

Like all gliders in the Armada range, simplicity is the key note for the Snickersnee and conventional balsa wood construction is employed throughout. Note: pdf INSTRUCTIONS are available - just "contact us" for a copy.
